They say that travel broadens the mind. Drag-and-drive has certainly broadened mine. Through covering these events I’ve been fortunate enough to travel to all different parts of America, meet people from all different walks of life, and sample burgers from all different fast-food chains. And along the way I’ve been forced to reassess some of my previously held notions about this country and its people.

The father-son team of Steven and A.J. Lloyd recently completed their first drag-and-drive appearance at Sick Summer Presented by Motion Raceworks with the family 1980 Chevy Malibu wagon. Not only are they plotting a second appearance in 2025, but a new ride to do it.

Excitement for the one-time-only Edelbrock Sick 66 drag-and-drive event is ramping up, with the reveal of the full route for the first time.

Pontiac, Michigan has hosted the popular MotorTrend Presents Roadkill Nights Powered by Dodge event since 2015, and although a few locations have been used, the 2024 edition of the event brought the racing action to M1 Concourse for the first time in event history.

Chevrolet recently announced the latest Corvette ZR1 model, stated for roll out in spring 2025. Packing a 5.5-liter LT7 flat plane crankshaft engine and a pair of turbochargers, the output is a staggering 1,064 horsepower at 7,000 RPM, and 828 lb/feet of torque at 6,000 RPM.
