’69 Camaro Indy Pace Car

This giveaway got a lot of attention, and rightly so: a rare '69 Camaro Indy Pace Car convertible out of Tom's personal collection. After a lot of interest and entries, the winner would be our first competitor to score a giveaway car, Richard Maguire. "I've owned a few Camaros in my life, but this one is a very special one," said Richard. "Since I was on my first Sick Week, I visited the merch trailer every day for the new track shirt each day." Richard not only competed in his first Sick Week in 2025, but completed it as well, and is looking forward to getting the '69 Camaro that is being delivered to him via Pilot Transport. - Richard Maguire

’52 nash

The '52 Nash was a cool find by Tom. Packing a 600-horsepower small block Chevrolet engine with a shot of nitrous, the car would ultimately be won by Gregg Hamby. Gregg had purchased a ticket to join Sick Ward at this year's Sick Week, so Tom had Pilot Transport deliver the car from Michigan directly to South Georgia Motorsports Park. - Gregg Hamby

’62 Chevy II

The ‘Plan II’ 1962 Chevy II would be the second car Sick The Mag would give away that had drag and drive competition experience, as builder Jim Forbes has clocked 9-second times with it. After Tom bought it and drove it home to Michigan on Route 66 from Arizona, the winner Robert Jacobson did the same in reverse, driving it from Michigan back to his home in California. "That was the longest four day drive of my life," said Robert, who had to dodge numerous weather delays, and even a snowstorm, to get home. He hasn't done much with the storied Chevy II since then, but plans to make a few updates, included red tinted windows. The red Chevrolet might also make a return trip to Michigan to participate in Sick Michigan Miles this year.  - Robert Jacobson

Holden Ute

When a chance arises to grab a rare Holden Ute in the US, you take it. In Tom's case, he got it, and then made it a giveaway car. Jacob Sperling was the lucky winner of the right-hand driver, and was in shock when he got the call. "I didn't believe at first," said Jacob. "I think Tom picked up on that. I really wanted one of these, and although I bought merch hoping to win it, I never thought I'd get the chance." After just driving it and enjoying it since July of 2024, Jacob has some plans to change the Ute up this year. "It needs some boost, so we're going to do a LSA-style blower on the LS3," said Jacob. "It's also getting a new paint job. I haven't decided between two colors, but I hope to have it ready for a Sick Summer 2026 appearance." - Jacob Sperling

Giveaway 4

1984 Pontiac Fiero

1984 Pontiac Fiero – was going to be a project car, but we changed directions. The two-seat, 4-cylinder mid-engine time capsule of the eighties was discovered in Arizona, and Tom couldn’t pass it up. This interesting find prompted Tom to do a different giveaway, lasting a shorter period to get entered, and extending the giveaway to only people that purchased spectator tickets online to Sick Summer Presented by Motion Raceworks (from to April 30th). A Chicago resident, Mary, would be the lucky recipient. “When I was fifteen, my father had a red Fiero,” said Mary. “And I always wanted to drive it, but we had a GMC Jimmy also, and my mom said ‘which car do you want to take?’ My dad said ‘take the bigger car because you can throw your leg over and hit the brake.’” As a result, Mary drove the GMC, and didn’t drive with her dad until she was over 21 years old, and by that time, the Fiero was gone. Now, she gets a second chance at the car she passed up.

1973 Chevrolet dually pick up

Giveaway 3

A cool patina'd and Harley Davidson lettered '73 Chevrolet dually pick-up, with a bonus Harley bike in the back, became our third giveaway ride, and similar to the '57 Chevy gasser, this one did a Sick drag and drive event, Sick Week in early 2024. Paul Maigler got the phone call that he was the winner, and he would put the big block Chevrolet engine and 4-speed overdrive transmission to good use by driving it 800 miles home to Rhode Island from Sick's headquarters in Michigan. On the way back home, Paul even stopped for a photo at Summit Racing Equipment to check out their offerings, and reported the truck ran trouble free on the February drive. - Paul Maigler

Giveaway 2

’57 Chevy gasser

After buying a '57 Chevy Gasser wagon that “shouldn’t see road miles” according to the previous owner, Tom Bailey and crew got it prepped for Sick Summer, where it completed the event. Four months later, our second giveaway car made its way to Arizona for new owner Jason Defelice, who "broke it in" doing a stretch of our Death Week drag and drive event. Since then, Jason has been enjoying the car, having won Best in Show at a local car show. “The car is truly special. All the paint, stickers and wear give it a personality and story. I love being able to tell people all about it, and will continue to do so.”- Jason Defelice

first Giveaway

Chevrolet Tahoe

Sick Week Presented by Gear Vendors Overdrive in 2023 was marked with announcement of our first giveaway vehicle, a Chevrolet Tahoe (ex-cop car) featuring an Edelbrock supercharger, 20-inch wheels with Mickey Thompson wheels, light bar and a special Sick the Mag wrap. We brought it along on Sick Week 2023, and it got a TON of interest everywhere we took it. Our very first winner was Rick from Salt Lake City, Utah; he purchased a Sick embroidered hoodie and hat that ultimately got him the winning entry.
