Gear Vendors Overdrive Celebrates 20 Years with the Drag-and-Drive Community and Giving 3-4000 Horsepower Rides An Extra Gear

The drag-and-drive community started with one event, Hot Rod Drag Week, in 2005. That event has grown into a movement with a large community of participants and fans, over 40 different events across multiple countries, and influenced thousands of car and truck builds to prove they can survive the street and the strip torture tests known by many as drag-and-drive.

There are a only a select few that have seen it all since the beginning, and Rick Johnson with Gear Vendors Overdrive is one of those people.

HotRods by Havliks Hosts Fastest Street Car Shootout and Reunion Race at Tri-State Raceway in Iowa – We’ve Got the Results and Photos!

It’s been noted how the creation of the drag-and-drive event can be linked to Hot Rod Pump Gas Drags, and even the True Street classes held by various organizations and events. Rocky Mountain Race Week Rolls into Texas for Day Three – Goldstone and Linwood Retain Their Leads, Ultimate Radial Sees a New Leader Emerge, and the Summer Heat Takes Its Toll on Competitors

To kick off the 2024 Rocky Mountain Race Week, Tulsa Raceway Park hosted 314 vehicles and 12 motorcycles on Sunday. With racing activities completed that evening, the Monday ‘workload’ would be who could survive 350-ish miles from Oklahoma to Texas to stage up on Tuesday for day two of racing, and day three of the week.
