Mike Finnegan dropped the news on Reddit about Roadkill reaching the end of the road after thirteen seasons, and the final season has yet to be aired. News has also come to light in the past couple days from former hosts of sister shows from MotorTrend; the final season of these shows will also be aired in the near future.
MotorTrend has noted that these new episodes will be available in 2025 and 2026, and the MotorTrend TV is exploring new avenues, including YouTube.
The cancellation of the Roadkill show has also put the future of popular Roadkill Nights event in question, as well as Hot Rod Drag Week and Hot Rod Power Tour. The future of these events has been addressed in a recent article, stating that Roadkill Nights, Hot Rod Drag Week, and the dual Hot Rod Power Tour events will continue on for 2025.
Hot Rod Drag Week, the event that kicked off the drag-and-drive movement, will celebrate the 21st year of the event in 2025. For the popular Hot Rod Power Tour, 2025 will mark the 31st year that thousands gather for a week of cruising, usually across multiple states, around the start of summertime.
Hot Rod recently expanded Power Tour to include a second event, Hot Rod Power Tour West, taking place in late summer / early fall on the west coast of the US.
With the Performance and Racing Industry (PRI) show on the horizon in three weeks, will plans be announced for all three events by then?
