Sick Week Presented by Gear Vendors Overdrive Testing, VIP Tech and a NEW BONUS for 2025

Sick Week Presented by Gear Vendors Overdrive is just over three weeks away, with Day Zero scheduled for Monday, January 27th, 2025! We’ve learned a lot since the first Sick Week in 2022, and for the 2025 edition, we adding some bonus features!

It’s the first drag-and-drive of 2025 - Sick Week Presented by Gear Vendors Overdrive! Combine good atmospheric conditions with great tracks (and traction), and you get a truly awesome experience! Four tracks, two states and five days of beautiful views and quick runs! For more details on Sick Week, CLICK HERE!

It’s no secret that some competitors will thrash up to the last minute, and with the chance for up to 400 rides to show up for the start of Sick Week, the tech and testing day can get busy! Thanks to our host track, South Georgia Motorsports Park (SGMP) and their staff, Sick Week will have two additional days of testing available before Day Zero!

On Saturday, January 25th, and Sunday, January 26th, SGMP will open their gates for Sick Week competitors, crew and spectators to enjoy two full days of pre-event testing!

Gates open at 8 am each day, and testing will take place from 12 Noon to 6 pm. Test day fees are $150 for car and driver, while crew and spectators are $20 per person. Get your laps in, and tune up your combinations for what is normally the best air and track conditions a drag-and-drive event is held in!

These spots are limited and will sell out, so if you want the extra testing, purchase your ticket now. Testing and spectator tickets for January 25th - 26th are available at the Sick website HERE!

Another popular feature will return for Sick Week 2025 – VIP Tech! Skip the line with hundreds of competitors, and get straight through tech inspection at a designated time.

The VIP Tech experience was created as a joint effort between Sick the Magazine and Bubba’s Buddies – each spot is $100, and all of that money goes towards Bubba’s Buddies, a non-profit organization with the mission to cure Degenerative Myelopathy in dogs.

Spots are limited, CLICK HERE to purchase your VIP Tech ticket before they sell out (make sure to select the right time slot)!

Now, for the newest bonus added to Sick Week for 2025. We’ve heard from some competitors in our largest groups, the C group (10.00 – 11.49 e.t.) and D group (11.50 and slower e.t.). We understand it can take a while to run your session with as many competitors as you have, so we’re adding a bonus session for you during Day Zero, Monday, January 27th!

Here’s the deal: the ‘C’ and ‘D’ groups will get a special separate session during Day Zero on Monday, January 27th where your time slip can count towards Day One participation!

Although we rotate the groups for a different starting group each and every day during the week, ‘C’ and ‘D’ groups run last on the first day (before the ‘All Run’ final session). With the new ‘bonus session’ option - if you get the run / time slip you want on Day Zero, you can turn that slip in on Day One after the driver meeting is complete! No need to wait!

If a ‘C’ and ‘D’ group competitor chooses to make a lap on Monday, and decides to wait for their regularly scheduled session on Day One, your Day Zero pass is still eligible to turn in if you want.

Sick Week Presented by Gear Vendors Overdrive is the official start to the 2025 season of drag-and-drive events, from January 27th to February 1st, 2025. CLICK HERE to visit the Sick Week event page.
