Motion Sickness! Motion Raceworks Joins Forces With Sick At The Rock
Motion Raceworks, one of America’s biggest names in automotive performance, has come on board for Sick At The Rock Presented By Motion Raceworks, to be held April 10-12 at Rockingham Dragway in North Carolina.
This hybrid event will feature a two-day drag-and-drive with $32,000 in prize money, class racing inspired by former NMCA/NMRA classes and even heads-up Pro Mods. It’s a street car party to be sure and Motion Raceworks are going to join the fun.
Sick At The Rock Presented By Motion Raceworks brings a fresh take to street car drag racing. The two-day drag-and-drive event features over 30 classes, each with $1000 up for grabs. From quickest Chevy to quickest on a radial to quickest stick shift, there’s something for almost everyone. Even better, the classes are stackable, meaning racers could go home with some very big checks!
Whether you plan on taking this event super seriously or are interested in trying your first drag-and-drive, Sick At The Rock Presented By Motion Raceworks is a great option. Just like a lot of other Sick events, Rockingham Dragway will be prepped by the masters of track prep — TVC. Personal bests should be on tap in the great April conditions!
Another unique part of the event is that racers will be able to operate out of their haulers — though the drag-and-drive diehards working out of their mini-trailers will get the prime pit spots.
Sick The Magazine’s Tom Bailey said Sick At The Rock Presented By Motion Raceworks is bringing a fresh take to drag-and-drive.
“This two-day style of drag-and-drive is something the community has been asking for,” he said. “It’s going to have all the intensity of a Sick Week or a Sick Summer packed into two days at Rockingham Dragway. There’s going to be a compulsory route and checkpoints required between the two days and it’s going to be a really cool experience.
“We’re thrilled to have Motion Raceworks joining us for the event. They are great supporters of the drag-and-drive community at every opportunity, so thanks to Doug, Andy and everyone at Motion for getting behind Sick At The Rock Presented By Motion Raceworks!”
