March Madness Isn’t Just for Basketball – What’s Going On in the Racing World This Weekend

With Spring around the corner, the racing season continues to ramp up with a series opening event and a big stand-alone event on the docket for this weekend.

The first one is the World Series of Pro Mod, being held at Bradenton Motorsports Park for the first time. Debuting in 2017, the event focuses on a stellar field of Pro Mod entries, with a massive $100,000 prize to the winner.

In addition to the Pro Mod class, the event will also host classes for Mountain Motor Pro Stock, Xtreme Front Wheel Drive Challenge, Top Dragster, Factory Super Car, and Super Pro.

A few hours northeast of BMP, the National Mustang Racers Association (NMRA) will kick off their 25th season with the Spring Break Shootout at Orlando Speed World Dragway.

In addition to their regular points-earning heads-up classes, including Renegade, Limited Street, 8.60-index Street Race, Factory Stock and Coyote Stock, they will also host their popular True Street class, five index-based classes, and some specialty classes, including the All-Female True Street class, a pair of GT500 Mustang classes, and the popular Spring Break Shootout class featuring the top sixteen qualifiers from True Street.

Both events will be streamed live on Flo Racing.
