Instead of Gold Chains and Valet Tickets, Chad Fegley’s Corvette Packs Fireballs and 7-Second Time Slips

The stick shift class continues to gain momentum, and another 7-second capable car plans to attend the 2023 edition of Sick Week Presented by Gear Vendors Overdrive.

Chad Fegley, a two-time Stick Shift class winner at Rocky Mountain Race Week 2.0, will be making the trip from Nebraska with his potent 2010 Corvette Grand Sport.

To collect 7-second time slips at over 180 mph, Fegley built a 416 cubic inch engine based on a LSX block, and picked a Precision PM 102 millimeter for the needed boost.

Fegley clocked a 7.94 at 179 mph in route to winning at last year’s Rocky Mountain Race Week 2.0, and in 2023 he’ll be trying his hand at Sick Week as well.

“I haven't done Sick Week yet, so I'm unsure how it’ll go,” said Fegley. “I love the idea of Florida in February; It’s cold in Nebraska.”
