The Edelbrock Sick Smokies Event Has Sold Out on Competitor Spots – Details on Sick Ward and Waitlist Options, As Well As Our Sick At The Rock / Sick On The Green Event Details!
Based on the success of last year’s Edelbrock Sick 66 ‘one-off’ event, we figured if one was good, two must be better! So, the 2025 season included a pair of ‘one-off’ events - Sick Michigan Miles Presented by Driven Racing Oil, and Edelbrock Sick Smokies.
The second event, Sick Smokies, has sold out on competitor spots, and we’re here to tell you about your options, including the wait list, Sick Ward, and our Sick At The Rock / Sick On The Green events!

For those that didn’t get a competitor spot, the waitlist for Edelbrock Sick Smokies is now open. By CLICKING HERE you’ll be directed to our entry page. Even though it states, ‘currently unavailable’ on the entry, you can join the wait list by clicking on the ‘Notify me when available!’ black box to the bottom right. That will provide you a new pop-up box for your e-mail address; fill out your e-mail, click the ‘Notify me when available’ box, and we will notify you when a spot becomes available.
There is also the Summit Racing Equipment Sick Ward presented by PEAK Performance option, which brings you along for the fun of Sick Smokies as we travel to five race tracks in seven days.
Sick Ward takes all the cool points of a local cruise, and ratches them up to level ten! Following our new model for Sick Ward introduced at the 2024 edition of Sick Summer, the entry price for Sick Ward is $150, and includes one spectator entry for all days of the event, an exclusive t-shirt and a window banner.
For an additional fee, you can submit your vehicle for the Sick Spit Show & Shine, which includes pit parking (only open for performance-based, vintage or otherwise unique vehicles).
To enter Sick Ward, CLICK HERE to purchase your ticket! If you wish to apply for the Sick Spit Show & Shine, you can submit your entry for Sick Spit Show & Shine by following the steps below:
Once you have your Sick Ward ticket purchased, e-mail us at info@sickthemagazine.com with the following format and information:
- Your e-mail subject line should be: ‘Sick Smokies Sick Spit Show & Shine application.’
- Your full name and e-mail address (as well as the name and e-mail you purchased the Sick Ward entry under if it is different).
- Tell us about your ride!! Basic details are okay, but a little more isn’t a bad idea here to help us make a decision.
- Attach some photos – notice we used the plural of the word. Again, several clear photos that show us multiple angles on the vehicle helps. Don’t forget to show the engine, the interior, and anything else you think makes your ride stand out!
There is A THIRD OPTION: participate in one of our new events - Sick At The Rock Presented by Motion Raceworks, or Sick On The Green - which will feature our new Sick Street Car Challenge, a 2-day drag and drive option.
“We have been trying to incorporate this new class idea into an event for a few years now,” Tom Bailey said. “All the enthusiasts we have discussed it with dig the idea. So, we’re bringing the class to a pair of events: Sick At The Rock and Sick On The Green!”
The Sick Street Car Challenge, based on a two-day drag and drive format (Friday and Saturday), will compete on an eighth-mile distance. Street legal machines will battle for $32,000 in prize money across over two-dozen categories, with the ability to stack more than one category for huge payouts!
This two-day drag and drive format class is now open for competitors on the Sick At The Rock Presented by Motion Raceworks event, scheduled for April 10th through the 12th, 2025 – grab your entry by CLICKING HERE!
For the Sick On The Green event, held May 29th through May 31st, 2025, tickets will go on sale on March 29th. You can fill out an expression of interest by CLICKING HERE.
Here’s how the class will work: each competitor will be required to hand in a total of three time slips to make up their average for the two days, with a minimum of one time slip from each day. The cruise route will be revealed to racers after their first run is handed in, and they must complete the route before racing begins on Saturday.
There are 32 categories available, from manufacturer awards such as Quickest Chevy and Quickest Ford, to engine types like Quickest Diesel and even Quickest Rotary, even Most Consistent and Best Street Race Average (5.35 or slower). Each class carries a $1000 prize, and racers are eligible for any award they qualify for. Got the nastiest Dodge that’s also the quickest stick shift, spraying nitrous on a 235 tire? You could walk away with $4000 right there! A full list of the categories is available at the event page at sickthemagazine.com – CLICK HERE!
