About Edelbrock Sick Smokies
Edelbrock Sick Smokies is an eighth-mile drag-and-drive event racing across the Appalachians from October 12-19, 2025. From Broadway in Nashville to the Tail of The Dragon, it's going to be a blast!
The Smokies in fall are an astoundingly beautiful part of America just waiting to be explored. But did you know there’s also some of the best and most scenic eighth-mile drag strips in the country right around there too? Join us for this adventure of a lifetime.
All street legal vehicles are welcome and we will have a special focus on Gassers at this event! We will also be welcoming Junior Street and Motorcycles once again.
New to drag-and-drive? Here’s the deal. We will be hitting five tracks and the only way you can get between them is by driving the same vehicle you race. No transporters or haulers, no support teams. It’s the adventure of a life time.

Got a Gasser?
Hey GASSERS! You've got earlybird access to entries for Edelbrock Sick Smokies.
So, what qualifies as a Gasser? We're not getting too picky, other than to say it just needs to meet the spirit of being a Gasser. You know if you've got one. The only thing we are mandating is that it needs a name - because all Gassers need a name! As long as it's tagged and insured, you're welcome at Edelbrock Sick Smokies.
This one-time-only event is all about the adventure. We're going to have some fun with the racing of course, but the spirit is just as important. Think big burnouts, dry hops, backup girls, team uniforms - just like the Southeast Gassers Association likes to do. We're going to have a special Sick orange helmet for the Spirit of the Smokies, going to the Gasser team that puts on the best show.
To get access to early entry, send an email to info@sickthemagazine with your name, a photo of the Gasser, the name of the Gasser, and a few details about the car. We will then reply with an entry link. Please note that this early entry period is only available until February 28, 2025.

You’ll get a spectator entry for all six track days of the event, a t-shirt and a window banner for your ride! Plus, you will be able to apply to be a part of the Sick Spit Show & Shine in the pits (for performance-based, vintage or otherwise unique vehicles).
