Sick Michigan Miles Is Sold Out – Sick Ward, Waitlist, Junior Street Options Available – Sick Smokies Registration Opens on March 22nd, 2025 – We’ve Got More Details on Both Events!

Following the success of Sick Week and Sick Summer, it was clear the tracks and timing for the duo of events would remain in place. But for Sick the Mag creator and enthusiast Tom Bailey, he knew the community wanted more; a stand-alone event that would be unique each and every year.

For 2025, those ‘one-off’ events - Sick Michigan Miles Presented by Driven Racing Oil, and Edelbrock Sick Smokies - are poised to take the community to the next level!

“Having a different drag and drive event each year gives the Sick The Mag slogan ‘For The Adventure’ a different meaning,” said Tom. “I appreciate each and every participant, and for our Sick Week and Sick Summer events, they work great in their current form. Why would I change them?”

“But some participants want more. They want to travel different roads, see different tracks, to make the experience about the adventure, the memories, and say I was part of a one-time deal. We answered that call with Death Week in 2023 and continue it in 2025 with Sick Michigan Miles and Sick Smokies.”

The first major drag and drive event to be solely held in the state of Michigan, Sick The Magazine’s Michigan Miles, is also our first event to include Junior Street and Motorcycle classes into the eighth-mile program of our ‘one-off’ events.

“A bunch of enthusiasts have asked me about the possibility of adding those two classes to a Sick event,” Tom said. “After weighing our options, we’re excited about them being a part of Michigan Miles.”

Following in the footsteps of the popular Sick Week and Sick Summer events, competitor spots were sold out for Michigan Miles on registration day, Saturday, February 15th, 2025. “The community responded, and we appreciate all that entered to enjoy a drag and drive in August with us in Michigan,” said Tom.

For those that didn’t get a competitor spot, the waitlist for Sick Michigan Miles Presented by Driven Racing Oil is now open. By clicking HERE you’ll be directed to our entry page. Even though it states ‘currently unavailable’ on the entry, clicking on the ‘Notify me when available!’ box will provide you a new pop-up box for your e-mail address. We will notify you when a spot becomes available.

For those interested in participating in the Junior Street class at Sick Michigan Miles, we will keep a small number of spots open for you! E-mail us at info@sickthemagazine.com for details.

There is a third option for Sick Michigan Miles - join the Summit Racing Equipment Sick Ward presented by PEAK Performance, which is just what the doctor ordered for summer fun in the state of Michigan! Sick Ward takes all the cool points of a local cruise, and ratches them up to level ten!

Following our new model for Sick Ward introduced at the 2024 edition of Sick Summer, entry price for Sick Ward is $150, and includes one spectator entry for all days of the event, an exclusive t-shirt and a window banner. For an additional fee, you can submit your vehicle for the Sick Spit Show & Shine, which includes pit parking (only open for performance-based, vintage or otherwise unique vehicles).

To enter Sick Ward, you will need to purchase the ticket. If you wish to apply for the Show & Shine, purchasing the “Sick Ward Multi Day Admission” ticket will then unlock the “Sick Spit Show and Shine Pit Parking” ticket application. CLICK HERE to purchase your Sick Ward ticket!

EDELBROCK SICK SMOKIES

If a single ‘one-off’ event is good, then two must be better! So, in addition to Sick Michigan Miles, we’re adding another drag and drive event to our 2025 schedule – Edelbrock Sick Smokies, being held October 12th through October 19th, 2025!

While some final details are being worked out on this event (including the tracks we will visit, which we will update you on this coming later this week), we can tell you the event will visit five different race tracks between Alabama, Georgia and Tennessee, while employing the same eighth-mile format we’ve employed for our Death Week, Sick 66, and Sick Michigan Miles events.

Sick Smokies will feature the largest gathering of Gassers at a single drag and drive event. Have you got a Gasser? You get early entry into Sick Smokies – more details coming on that very soon! We will also have Junior Street and Motorcycles on the docket!

More details will be coming on Edelbrock Sick Smokies in a story this week. But there’s nothing stopping you from filling out the expression of interest form by CLICKING HERE. Sick Smokies registration is coming up on Saturday, March 22nd.
