Another Top Drag-and-Drive Ride Goes Up for Sale – Matt Moore’s Camo Mustang on The Block
We reported on the Mustangs of Devin Vanderhoof and Clark Rosenstengel being listed for sale earlier this year; a pair of cars that would allow someone to jump into the drag-and-drive landscape in a car that could easily put them in a chance to win class, or possibly an overall position.
Yesterday, another well-known class winning car went up for sale on social media, with both drag-and-drive and no prep credentials.

Matt Moore definitely shocked a few people by listing his 1989 Ford Mustang for sale yesterday on Facebook. The car has done well over the last eleven months, picking up three wins, including Rocky Mountain Race Week (RMRW) 1.0 in Rowdy Radial trim.
Matt averaged out at a 5.08, and got into the 4-second zone with a 4.95. He followed that win with a class victory at this year’s Sick Week Presented by Gear Vendors Overdrive, where he captured the Rowdy Radial class title with a 4.68 average, and lowering his best single pass to a 4.60.
But despite a solid five years with the car, including scoring some no prep wins as well, Matt’s business Moore Race Chassis continues to gain momentum.
That, combined with a family leaves enough time to only focus on so much, and thus the Mustang went up for sale. “With the space we have now (at Moore Race Chassis), advancing the business is the top of our priority list,” said Matt. “The opportunity is too great to pass up.”
The Mustang is currently in drag race mode from its last outing for no prep, but will come complete with all drag-and-drive components, as well as tune logs for the last three years.
Powered by a 388 cubic inch LS engine with a BTR 98-millimeter single turbo, Matt believe the 25.2-SFI spec Mustang can get into the 6-second range. When asked if this was the end of the drag-and-drive road for Matt, he was quick to answer “I’ll get back into it eventually.”
