The Story Behind Kyle Loftis and 1320 Video

Chances are you’ve seen 1320 Video coverage of an event, as they’ve covered everything from SEMA and PRI to standing mile, street racing and drag racing events around the world.

But what you may not know is how 1320 Video got its start 20 years ago, and the latest video series from the popular YouTube channel – 1320 Stories - covers this very topic.

1320 Video founder Kyle Loftis has been presented the chance to tell his story a few times before this video, but in his words “not in his depth, and with pictures and video to go with it.”

It starts with his interest in car stereos, and hopes to work at a major stereo shop came true in 2000. That interest turned to street racing when a co-worker took Kyle to a meet in 2001.

Filming those races would lead him to visiting race tracks in Nebraska and Missouri, taking pictures and videos as well. In early 2003, 1320 Video was born.

From viral videos on network television, to talking with some of his most well-known film crew, this is a great look at how Kyle took his passion and created a brand around it.
