Rocky Mountain Race Week 2023 Set to Open Registration on January 13th and January 14th

Featuring one of the more scenic routes in drag-and-drive events, Rocky Mountain Race Week will open for registration today, as part of a two-day process, allowing a maximum of 250 Race Week racers to register.

Rocky Mountain Race Week was created by enthusiast Matthew Frost as an alternative drag-and-drive option.

“I thought we could do something in the western region and the mountain area,” said Matthew. “I wanted to get people back to the roots of why we started doing this.

But it’s more family-oriented as well, and that happened and has sparked more interest into the sport of drag racing.”

Veterans and all participants get the opportunity to pre-register on Friday, January 13th starting at 8:00 a.m. mountain time.

“I feel strongly that if you give your core audience an advance chance to come back, it always benefits the event,” said Matthew Frost, the event creator and promoter. “But we also leave the door open for new entrants, so we can attract a good mix of entrants.”

If the 250 available spots are not sold out, general registration opens for both new entrants and veterans on Saturday, January 14th at 9:00 a.m. mountain time, and will remain open until the spots sell out.

Rocky Mountain Race Week allows includes an option for Road Week, an option for those that don’t want to focus on competing, but joining the cruise from track to track.
