Summit Sick Powerfest Presented by M1 Concourse – Drifting, Burnout Competition, RC Drag Racing, Nitro Cacklefest, Kids Powerwheels – Happens Today at M1 Concourse in Pontiac, Michigan
Combine the brainpower of Sick the Magazine with M1 Concourse, and the result is the Summit Sick Powerfest Presented to M1 Concourse.
What started as a private party to raise money for the Epilepsy Foundation of Michigan has now become an overload for the senses, and it happens TODAY, August 11th, 2023!
After a successful first event open to the public in 2022 as Sick Skids, one year later we’ve supercharged the amount of cool stuff to witness in one day at M1 Concourse.
From the popular burnout contest and car show we’ve previously hosted, to the new features including drifting, the nitro cacklefest, RC drag racing competition and kids Powerwheels, Sick Powerfest has something for everyone, culminating with the fiery show from Phil Krantz’s hot rod!

Drifting and the RC drag racing competition get some tune-up time Friday morning before the gates open to spectators at 10 am.
Opening round of RC drag racing competition will begin, while drifting practice will continue until 1 p.m. when round one of drifting competition will begin.
Drifting and RC drag racing will continue throughout the mid-afternoon timeframe, with Powerwheels drag racing set to begin at 4:45 p.m. There will be a RC cars giveaway announcement at 5:30 p.m.
The burnout competition begins following the national anthem at 6 p.m., with drifting semifinal and final rounds of action coming at 7 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. respectively.
The burnout contest will resume at 8 p.m., the nitro cacklefest will light up the M1 concourse with long nitro flames at 9 p.m. and Phil Krantz will conclude the evening with a fire show from his classic hot rod pick-up by 9:30 p.m.

Massive amounts of smoke will come from the burnout competition, as well as the style and engine-screaming sounds of the drifting competition, with $5000 on the line for each!
