Stevie ‘Fast’ Jackson Continues Success with ‘Shadow 3.0’ - Leads Qualifying in Radial Versus the World at Bama Outlaws Event

After a few years away from radial tire racing, Stevie ‘Fast’ Jackson put the class on notice when he debuted the first images of the ‘Shadow 3.0’ 1968 Camaro, backed by Motion Raceworks, in January 2024.

“Radial Versus the World class has gotten soft, and we’re going to come back and whip that class back into shape,” he said. “It is my intention to compete for a Radial Versus the World class championship, and I’m not going to settle for anything less than that.”

After winning in the car’s debut at the Duck X Productions Lights Out 15 event at South Georgia Motorsports Park in the radial tire-based Radial Versus the World class with a string of 3.5-second time slips, Jackson made the switch to slicks to take part in the World Series of Pro Mod event at Bradenton Motorsports Park just five days later.

There he qualified fourth with a 3.62 at 207 mph pass, and survived to the semifinal round, where Jackson admitted he “flinched”, leaving the starting line too soon and red lighting away his chances at $100,000 payday.

This week, just two months since he debuted the first images of the ‘Shadow 3.0’ Camaro, Jackson is once again making a statement at his third event of the year, Bama Outlaws at Alabama International Dragway, the second event on the Radial Outlaws Racing Series.

Back on the radial tires again, and with qualifying set to be completed on Saturday, March 23rd, Jackson is currently atop the Radial Versus the World class with a 3.50 at 211.61 mph blast, with an eye-opening .878 60 foot time! This improves on his best run from Lights Out just over a month ago, a 3.504, which he clocked in the final round to win the class.

Will Stevie Fast be able to capture his second-straight Radial Versus the World win this week? Final qualifying and eliminations are set for Saturday, March 23rd.
