Small Tire Drag-And-Drive Rides Take the Stage at NHRA Carolina Nationals

Just one day after the conclusion of Hot Rod Drag Week, several Street Race Power-Adder class rides find themselves on a different track instead of on their way home.

The National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) is showcasing rides from drag-and-drive events, as well as the National Mustang Racers Association (NMRA) 8.60 Street Race class, at the NHRA Carolina Nationals at zMax Dragway in Charlotte, North Carolina this weekend.

The format for this forthcoming NHRA class is based on an 8.60 index to allow for a little extra room to run quicker than the index without violating roll cage limits.

The competitors will get shots at the track to determine just how close they can get to that 8.60 number. The two competitors that can show will run off on Sunday for a special NHRA award.
