Sick the Magazine is Bringing Drag-and-Drive to Mo-Kan Dragway on October 12th – Our Second Track Stop on the Edelbrock Sick 66 Event

Route 66 is legendary, and our second track that Sick the Magazine will visit for the Edelbrock Sick 66 event is Mo-Kan Dragway.

The Missouri track will add a chapter to their legendary history when the drag-and-drive event stops in Asbury, bringing 300 of the quickest street-legal cars and trucks, as well as Sick Ward participants!

A once in-a-lifetime drag-and-drive: Edelbrock Sick 66, held October 10th-18th 2024. It checks all the boxes: Route 66, over 30 checkpoints, 6 tracks, and an epic experience. Discounted spectator tickets and Sick Ward spots are still available - CLICK HERE for more information.

A track with over six decades of hosting epic events, Mo-Kan Dragway has hosted a variety of events, including the popular Nitro Chaos, Funny Car Chaos and American Hot Rod Reunion, as well as The Circuit and Rocky Mountain Race Week earlier this year.

The Edelbrock Sick 66 event will be the only time the track is part of a dedicated Route 66 drag-and-drive event, and the largest gathering of street and strip-ready vehicles.

Getting their start in 1962, the oldest continuously-operated drag strip in Missouri originated under the guidance of original owners Jim and Ron Wilbert. The track has pulled in some great talent, including Walt Arfons and his "Green Monster" jet dragster, Top Fuel legend Don Garlits, and a ton of cool events and names since then.

The track was purchased by Carl Blanton in 1999, but they kept the gas pedal down on hosting great events. The track is supported and sanctioned by the World Drag Racing Alliance (WDRA), and runs a full schedule of events each year.

“We here at Mo-Kan are very excited for Edelbrock Sick 66,” said Carl. To that extent, they’ve recently put together a list of frequent questions, and popular locations around the track. The track also revamped their pit areas with fresh paving in late August.

Mo-Kan is the second track on our six track tour of Edelbrock Sick 66, as well as the second stop in Missouri. Thanks to our Sick’s designer Garrett Olsen, each and every track stop on Rick 66 gets a unique, limited edition t-shirt for each track day of the event (Sick Week was the first drag-and-drive event to do individual track shirts).

REMEMBER – each of these unique t-shirts will ‘debut’ at the featured track, and will feature a limited quantity! We sold out of every track shirt at Sick Week / Sick Summer this year, so make sure to get yours as soon as you get through the gates!

You can also pre-buy all six track shirts in a bundle before the event starts HERE! Don’t delay; once we pack the Sick the Mag merch trailer and send it to Missouri, shirts are only available on site at each track on each day!

It’s the ultimate once-in-a-lifetime road trip, Edelbrock Sick 66, on the ultimate road: Route 66! Eight days, 6 tracks, over 1300 miles, more than 30 checkpoints along ‘American’s Highway!’
