This New Pro Mod Spun a Dyno to an Incredible 4,779 Horsepower!

Pro Mod has really moved into the spotlight, with multiple series and stand-alone events offering options for racers to participate.

One racer taking advantage is multi-time NMCA and PDRA champion and former radial standout Mark Micke, who will join the Pro Mod ranks in 2023 with a brand new 1969 Camaro build.

The replica ’69 Camaro was brought to life at RJ Race Cars, and the stretched front end houses a Pro Line Racing Hemi powerplant with a pair of Garrett GT57 turbochargers.

Micke backed the stout powerplant with one of his own M & M Transmission two-speed Turbo 400 transmissions, and all engine management is done through FuelTech.

The car recently went to FuelTech’s Georgia location, and was bolted up to their Mainline hub-dyno to get tuned up and some numbers on the board.

When the session was complete, the graph showed a whopping 4,779 horsepower on the best pull, at a little under 9,000rpm!

Micke plans to debut the car at next week’s US Street Nationals at Bradenton Motorsports Park
