Kolby Bouck Ditches the Canadian Cold to Turn Up the Heat at Sick Week With a Twin Turbo Mustang on 235 Tires!

It was just a year ago that the Rowdy Radial class, with its spec 235 sidewall (26-inch-tall x 8.5-inch-wide) tire, became a focal point for the ever-growing contingent of drag-and-drive enthusiasts.

Rocky Mountain Race Week had been the only drag-and-drive event to showcase the class, but Sick Week Presented by Gear Vendors Overdrive joined the party in 2023, and the time slips that have been generated are jaw dropping to most.

One of the newest competitors to Sick Week in 2024 is Kolby Bouck, who made the trip from Edmonton, Alberta Canada to Orlando. Kolby has owned a few Mustangs, but his latest one showed up ready to party in the Rowdy Radial class.

The 2017 Mustang packs a Coyote engine still sporting the factory crankshaft, but upgraded rods and pistons. To make the extra power to compete for a top three spot in Rowdy Radial, Kolby enlisted a pair of Precision Gen 2 68/70-millimeter turbochargers, and tunes the set-up through a Holley Dominator ecu, with an estimated 1600 rear-wheel-horse-power on tap.

Kolby has previous competed in Miles of Mayhem in Canada, with a personal best time of 5.04 at 146 mph on the eighth-mile standard. But he had never run the 235-sidewall tire before, so Sick Week would add another layer of difficulty.

After five days of racing and street miles, Kolby not only beat his previous best performance, but completed Sick Week with a top three class finish.

That Track Channel followed Kolby’s Sick Week experience and put together the video below detailing the car and each day of the event:
