Just Three Days Before Check-In / Tech Day – Here’s Some Updates From Sick Week Competitors!

Only a few days to go before Sunday February 12th arrives, and with it, the Check-in and Tech day of Sick Week Presented by Gear Vendors Overdrive!

Several competitors are putting the final tweaks on their rides and even road testing them in preparation for Sick Week. Unfortunately, some are trying to finish upgrades and/or changes, and some are still missing major components!

To start the updates: Tom Bailey came to Bradenton Motorsports Park to test out the Sick Seconds 2.0 1969 Camaro. He discovered some issues, and his latest upload covers a visit to AVIS Fuel Injectors and Precision Turbochargers:

We have a double update from Cleetus McFarland! The first comes in finally getting the transmission they were awaiting for the McFlurry Fox Mustang, and the choice is worth the wait:

Cleetus’ second video covers getting ‘Mullet’ the El Camino back together with a freshened engine and transmision, and making shake down laps at Bradenton Motorsports Park:

Steve Morris rolled the ‘Boostmaster’ station wagon to FuelTech in Georgia, and got it bolted up to their hub dyno to get some power figures and data. The SMX Steve Morris Engines bullet made 3221 horsepower, but they also encountered a big issue:

Motion Raceworks and TBM continued to update ‘Pumpkin Spice’, the Fox Mustang that was the motivation for Doug Cook to start Motion Raceworks:

KSR Fabrication and Performance continue working on Soccer Mom, but will Kevin, Kimber and Will get their engine in time?

Vice Grip Garage dropped part three on swapping the Monte Carlo ‘stock car tribute’ from an old school small block and automatic transmission to a LS1 and Turbo 400 transmission:

Cooper Bogetti, who came about 100 miles from finishing his first-ever drag-and-drive, tests out his LS-swapped SN-95 Mustang ‘Chip’:
