One of the newest events, Heads Up Hustle, opens registration today at 10:00 am Eastern Standard Time (EST).

The unique event will combine qualifying and heads-up competition into the three-day format.

The first two days of competition, Milan Dragway on Friday, July 14th followed by Lapeer International Dragway on Saturday, July 15th, will dish out two rounds of qualifying at each location.

The event travels back to Milan for the final day on Sunday July 16th, and eliminations day.

Eliminations will be based on qualifying results, and on the average of the fastest time run each day during qualifying.

For example: If a car runs a 9.87 on Friday, and a 10.03 on Saturday, their time used to set the elimination ladder will be the average of those two which is a 9.95.

The event will feature a slew of classes, including Unlimited, Small Tire (OE steel body cars on a maximum size 28” × 10.5” slick or 275 drag radial), Big Tire (OE steel body cars on any size tire), Stick Shift (H pattern manual transmission that leaves the line with a foot operated clutch), Naturally Aspirated Big Block (OE steel body cars on a maximum size 10.5” W slick or 315 drag radial), Naturally Aspirated Small Block (OE steel body cars on a maximum size 10.5” W slick or 315 drag radial), Daily Driver (full interior with A/C and minimum 17-inch diameter wheels and tires in most cases), Hot Rods and Gassers, Full Size Truck, Motorcycle, Open Comp and a No Time class.
