Edelbrock Sick 66 Track Shirts Designs Are Finalized – Get Yours in a Bundle in Advance / at Each Track During Sick 66 - 1st Reveal: Ozark Raceway Park!

Although Sick The Magazine wasn’t the first to do a drag-and-drive, we added new features and details to the event concept that truly proves what is and is not a ‘street car.’

One of the features Tom Bailey brought to every Sick drag-and-drive event in 2023 was the unique track shirts for each day, and we’re doing it again for 2024 – including the upcoming Edelbrock Sick 66 event!

A once in-a-lifetime drag-and-drive: Edelbrock Sick 66, held October 10th-18th 2024. It checks all the boxes: Route 66, over 30 checkpoints, 6 tracks, and an epic experience. Don’t miss your chance; CLICK HERE for more info on Sick 66.

Thanks to staff designer Garrett Olsen, each and every Sick Week and Sick Summer have featured limited edition t-shirts for each track day of the event. The only way to get these shirts was to purchase them on site at each track on each day.

But for Sick 66, we’re breaking our own rules, and in addition to shirts being available at each track, we’re also offering the track shirts as a 6-pack bundle you can buy in advance from the Sick The Mag merchandise site: CLICK HERE!

Each shirt focuses on the individual track of the day, and for Sick 66, we’ll be kick starting the Route 66 adventure in Missouri at Ozark Raceway Park, a track with a lot of history.

After the former Springfield-Ozark Raceway closed in 1974, enthusiasts and racers were left without a local place to race. With the help of the Green County Drag Racing Association and track owners Tom Riddell and Doug Rees, the first race at Ozark Raceway Park on June 19th, 1977.

Under the American Hot Rod Association (AHRA), the track hosted a variety of events, including a national event called the Ozark Nationals, within about a year of opening. That national event included some major drivers, including Florida Top Fuel racer Don Garlits, and multi-time NHRA Pro Stock champion Lee Shepherd.

The track closed in late 1979, but was reopened in 1985. It had a new name, Show-Me Dragway, a new owner, Al Wilkerson, and a new sanctioning body, the International Hot Rod Association (IHRA).

The track has gone through a few name changes since then, including Springfield Dragway and Ozark International Raceway, before going back to the Ozark Raceway Park name in 2009.

The track hosts everything from tests and tunes to heads-up racing, and no-prep as well. Being the first track of Sick 66, who do you think will come out with the quickest time on day one?

This is just the first reveal of the six shirts, which we will continue to reveal, as well as feature some history about the tracks we will visit along our Route 66.

REMEMBER – each of these unique t-shirts will ‘debut’ at the featured track, and will feature a limited quantity! We sold out of every track shirt at Sick Week / Sick Summer this year, so make sure to get yours as soon as you get through the gates!

It’s the ultimate once-in-a-lifetime road trip, Edelbrock Sick 66, on the ultimate road: Route 66! Eight days, 6 tracks, over 1300 miles, more than 30 checkpoints along ‘American’s Highway!’
