This Week’s AutoRama in Michigan – One of America’s Largest Indoor Car Shows - Gets a Healthy Dose of Sick The Magazine and Drag and Drive Rides

For over 70 years, the Detroit AutoRama in Michigan has showcased tens of thousands of amazing rides, including hot rods, muscle cars, truck and motorcycles.

This photo from the 2019 Detroit AutoRama gives a brief idea of the variety of what you could see in the hundreds of rides.

One of the big attractions of the AutoRama is The Ridler Award, but for 2025, Sick The Magazine will bring a twelve pack of some cool and quick rides to our display at the AutoRama.

“It’s been on the greatest indoor shows for several decades,” said Tom Bailey. “We’ve enjoyed it for several years as enthusiasts, and we felt like showcasing a good number of drag and drive rides as part of our Sick The Magazine this year.”

The center of the display will be Sick The Magazine’s International ‘Chode’ truck and our merchandise trailer, where our full line-up of items will be available. This includes the highly desirable and ‘only available at events’ Sick The Mag straw hats!

On one side of the Sick The Mag display rig will be the Aydan Bailey ’57 Chevy known as the ‘Deuce Box’ along with a ‘yet to be named’ ride from Tom Bailey.

On the opposite side, Matt Donovan’s ‘Garbage That Barfed’ 1938 Chevrolet that captured the B/Gas title at the recent Sick Week event, alongside fellow Sick Week runner Chuck Fryer and his 1962 Volkswagen Beetle.

Starting the opposite side line up is Nick Cryer’s wheelstanding and popular 1963 Divco Milk Truck.

Sick 66 competitor, and top twenty finisher in the averages, John Audia’s cool blue ’69 Chevrolet Chevelle will take a spot in the line as well.

Chad Beech, who captured the quickest average for a naturally aspirated ride on the 2024 Edelbrock Sick 66 event, will park his C8 Corvette next in the line-up.

A unique ride that combines a 4x4 stance and turbocharged LS power, Jon Moore’s 8-second Ford Crown Victoria starts the second half of the line-up.

Big 3 Racing brings a trio of 7-second capable rides to complete the Sick The Magazine display, including Chuck Stefanski’s zoomie header-equipped ’81 Pontiac LeMans wagon.

A pair of Mopar-powered rides will also make the trip from Big 3, including the twin-turbo ’72 Duster of Rick Trunkett, and Bob Hess Jr.’s Gen 3 HEMI-swapped 1982 Ford Mustang.

The Detroit AutoRama starts on Friday February 28th, 2025, and runs through Sunday March 2nd, 2025. For more information on the event, CLICK HERE!
