Who Will Survive the Ultimate Drag-and-Drive - Death Week?
Billed as the ultimate drag-and-drive due to a ten-day, 2,000-mile layout, Death Week has taken on a “can you and your ride survive” focus. But there’s no shortage of proven rides coming to Death Week.
Some of the quicker rides on the list include Richard Guido, known as the ‘Canadian Chuck Norris’, who will be driving his Pontiac GTO from Canada 1700 miles to participate.
Another 5-second capable car coming is Jason Rousseau, making the trip from New York with his clean Chevrolet Malibu.
The wheelstanding Oldsmobile Cutlass of Yukon’s own Rajveer Ahuja is on the list, as is the ‘more-door’ 4-door Nova of Jeffrey Moll.
Chris Hein, who has been winning stand-alone races as well as the recent Rocky Mountain Race Week 2.0, will be in attendance in his stick-shift 1933 Factory Five Coupe.
The big dogs in the power department on the list will be Alan Whitaker, who recently completed his first drag-and-drive at Hot Rod Drag Week with his 1972 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, and Tom Bailey will take on the first drag-and-drive with his recently-completed Dodge Durango. Can both survive, and will either be in contention for the overall win at the end of the event?
Not only is the overall win up for grabs, but for any competitor that can complete the event, there is the ‘survivor’ skull waiting for you on the final day. Tom detailed the skulls personally, making them even more of a limited edition keepsake!!
He’s also added a ‘Top Tourist’ helmet, which we’ll find out more about at the event.
Who will survive this once-in-a-lifetime drag-and-drive? Death Week starts in just three days!
