Tom Bailey Converting Sick Seconds 2.0 Camaro To Radials For New Sick Week Class?

After multiple drag-and-drive victories and 5-second passes, Tom Bailey has announced that he will be switching the potent Sick Seconds 2.0 Camaro to drag radials for the 2023 season!

Have we seen the last of Tom Bailey running big tires on Sick Seconds 2.0?

“After a good bit of success on the slicks, it’s time for a new chapter,” said Tom, the driver of the world’s quickest street car. “The constant tire shake, the tracks being better prepped for radials, and the performances on the small tires have convinced me to switch.”

Although the switch to a 315 or 325 millimeter radial would be a popular choice, Tom increased the challenge by stating he will employ the 235 millimeter or 26-inch x 8.5-inch tire required for Rowdy Radial!

Rowdy Radial, pioneered at Rocky Mountain Race Week, is an eighth-mile class where just about anything goes - so long as you can put the power down on a 235 tire.

“I’ve never been one to back down from a challenge,” Tom stated. “The Rowdy Radial class is all about the tire being the limiting factor. So I figured let’s see just how fast we can go on the little tires.”

Chassis adjustments are currently underway, and Tom plans to test at an undisclosed track in preparation for Sick Week.

This article is a hoax. Tom Bailey has not stated he is changing the Camaro for radials, nor will he leave the “slick tire life” anytime soon. However, he is keen to promote Rowdy Radial joining Sick Week and Sick Summer! We welcome our small tire friends!
