The Third Drag-And-Drive of the 2023 Season, The Circuit, Hits Missouri This Weekend

Spring has sprung, and the 2023 drag-and-drive season is starting to gain momentum. The third event of the year – The Circuit Presented by Summit Racing - hits Mo-Kan Dragway and the streets in Missouri for a three-day drag-and-drive weekend from Friday, April 14th through Sunday the 16th.

The sold out show starts Friday at Mo-Kan Dragway will include check-in and tech inspection, plus the start of day one activities (requiring a minimum of two runs).

Saturday will find the participants driving between 150 to 180 miles, with a car show or cruise night destination in mind. There will be 2-4 checkpoints along the way to verify the participants run the correct route.

Sunday will bring the tour back to Mo-Kan Dragway for at least two more passes per participant.

Awards will be presented Sunday afternoon, including winner and runner-up trophies for each class (top three awards for the You vs. You class).

The Circuit features a mix of quarter-mile and eighth-mile classes, giving participants a plethora of options!

The quarter-mile classes are:

All Motor Small Block (engines must be 430 cubic inches or less, and the engine may not be a Mopar 426-based Hemi, a Chrysler early Hemi, a big-block Mopar, a big-block Chevy, a big-block Ford, or an FE Ford – Same as HRDW rules, except any size slick or drag radial).

All Motor Big Block (engines must be 431 cubic inches or more; All Mopar 426-based Hemi, Chrysler early Hemi, big-block Mopar, big-block Chevy, big-block Ford, and FE Ford will run in Big-Block classes regardless of displacement – Same as HRDW rules, except any size slick or drag radial).

Gasser/Hot Rod Power-Adder (open to 1969 and earlier vehicles, and a combination of Gasser and Hot Rod classes).

You VS You (10.000 and slower e.t.s - Think of it as bracket racing meets index racing – rewarding the most consistent racers. Racers are allowed to set a personal dial-in, then run as close to dial-in as possible, with the closest racer winning. In the event of a tie, the average reaction time across all four passes will determine the winner. A racer can’t turn in a pass faster than the dial-in.

Motorcycle (traditional motorcycle or trike with single front wheel. Slingshot type vehicles will race in appropriate vehicle classes).

The eighth-mile classes are:

235 – 235/60-15 (limited to a 26-inch height x 8.5-inch width slick or smaller tire).

275 – 275/60-15 drag radial (limited to a 29-inch height x 10.5-inch width slick – Mickey Thompson ET Street R 28-inch height x 11.5-inch width bias-ply tire also accepted – or smaller tire for this class; any size 17-inch or larger rim is allowed).
