The Best Live Stream You’ve Ever Seen is Coming For Sick Week and Sick Summer with FRDM+

Event coverage for Sick Week Presented By Gear Vendors Overdrive and Motion Raceworks Sick Summer will be stepping up to the next level in 2024 with the announcement that the events will be streamed on the FRDM+ platform.

More cameras, including drone and on-board shots, twice the camera crew, checkpoint updates, produced interviews and high definition streaming quality are all being brought to the show. Sick The Magazine publisher and drag-and-drive competitor Tom Bailey said he wanted a broadcast-level production for the sport.

“Our goal is to deliver event coverage that is of the highest quality,” he said. “I want the racers at Sick Week and Sick Summer to look like rockstars out there and to showcase drag-and-drive in a way that’s never been seen before. We basically made a list of what we thought would be badass for a live stream and the team at FRDM+ were just as excited as we were to bring it to life. If there’s somewhere cool to put a camera we’re going to have one there.”

Subscribers to Sick The Magazine will be able to stream both events entirely free, delivering even more value along side the quarterly books received by thousands of race fans nationwide.

“Our subscribers are at the core of what we do, so it’s great that we can add to the value of their subscription by adding free streaming of Sick Week and Sick Summer,” Bailey said. “Not only are subscribers to FRDM+ going to see the triumph and chaos of the Super Bowl of Drag-and-Drive, but our magazine subscribers will also be able to check out the content being added to FRDM+ every day.”

Fans at the track will also get an enhanced experience.

“We’re working on getting a jumbotron to follow the week so that fans will be able to see replays and different content. Being trackside is obviously the way to go if you’re in the Florida area, but we’re also going to make sure that if you’re stuck in the snow elsewhere in the country you’re going to have a world class broadcast to watch.”

Sick The Magazine subscribers will receive a code before the events to allow them to login and follow the week, which will also be available to FRDM+ subscribers.

The team from Sick The Magazine are at PRI this week filming segments and interviews for the live broadcasts to come. Any drag-and-drive participant is invited to the Gear Vendors Overdrive booth to sit down in front of the green screen and be interviewed.

“We’ve got some fun questions to ask everyone so that the people watching at home can get to know all of us drag-and-drivers better,” Bailey said. “If you’ve ever been involved with a drag-and-drive event, come to the Gear Vendors Overdrive display and tell us all about yourself!”
