Sick Week 2023 Presented By Gear Vendors Overdrive saw a bunch more records set from the world’s quickest street cars. We don’t call it the Super Bowl of Drag And Drive for nothing! So here are just some of the amazing numbers that made up this year’s event.

It’s not secret that there was much attrition across the field at Sick Week 2023 Presented By Gear Vendors Overdrive. So much so that just 229 racers finished the week of the 331 who went through tech. Those who did finish turned in amazing performances, including Michael Westberg with the quickest average at a drag-and-drive event since 2019 and a new Sick Week record, Brett LaSala with his incredible radial performances and even James ‘Doc’ McEntire’s first seven-second NA average. Top Individual Runs

The top 100 runs list includes the quickest run from each racer and is used to calculate early entries for Sick Week 2024. From last year’s event, Frank Romano was in position #100 with a 9.300. For 2023, #100 was a 9.222 from Rob Courtney. Please remember, right now, the top 100 does not include Rowdy Radial — so we will have to see how generous Tom is feeling as to how many cars he lets in! This list may be subtracted from or added to for early entries.

It’s interesting to note that if we factored the eighth-mile times for quarter mile, we estimate the #100 position would probably be Walter Doyle’s 8.937, as 14 Rowdy Radial cars had times in the 5.4s or better.

In 2022, we had seven cars in the sixes. This year it was nine, and that’s not including Dave Schroeder’s pass. Even more incredible was that we had 34 cars going 7.999 or quicker, compared to 27 last year.
