Sick The Mag Grows With New Talent

From a road trip discussion to one of the best print magazines in the business and now a full set of events, Sick The Mag’s growth since its creation in May of 2021 has been nothing short of ballistic.

As with any growing small business, bringing multi-skilled people on board is crucial. What started as just Sick The Mag publisher Tom Bailey and editor Luke Nieuwhof hoping to find a few other people interested in drag-and-drive has now become a group of truly Sick individuals who each bring a unique perspective to the brand.

Bryan Rompa joined Sick full time last year to handle video, but has now also taken on many aspects of merchandising - and even DJ’ing at Sick Skids! Kristin Gray works part time in the office handling subscriptions, while Jenna Ball is the OG accounts extraordinaire.

When Sick Week was created, Tom drew on the experience of Jenny Schmitz to become an events manager, and her role will only get bigger as more events are added to the roster including Sick Summer and Death Week.

And now the team will expand even further! Joining Sick The Mag this week is Derek Putnam, who will fill a broad role that includes everything from commentating at all of the Sick events to filing content for Sick The Mag’s website and print editions, along with plenty more social and event aspects.

Coming along later in December will be Garrett Olsen, the man behind the very cool Sick Week logos and other cartoon designs. Garrett will be working on merchandise designs and a range of other neat stuff we can’t wait to show you!

The whole team will be at the PRI show in Indianapolis later this week, so make sure to wear your Sick merch and catch up with us there!
