The awesome summer fun starts on June 15th at Byron Dragway in Byron, Illinois. After two days at Byron Dragway, we'll depart Monday afternoon for the start of our street miles to visit Wisconsin and Great Lakes Dragaway on Tuesday, June 17th.

We then return to Illinois for a visit to Cordova Dragway on Wednesday, June 18th, then Tri-State Raceway in Iowa will be in our sights for Thursday, June 19th.

After several hundred miles and lots of cool checkpoints, we'll wrap up a great week back at Byron Dragway for Friday action and awards!

Sick Summer brings a lot of cool points to the drag-and-drive game as well. Here’s a few:

Track prep! Sick Summer caters the prep to groups broken down on elapsed time, and we break out the quickest two groups further by slicks and drag radials. Since each requires a different approach to prep, we’ll get you a track surface that works for 4-second Rowdy Radial eighth-mile cars, as well as six and seven-second second big tire rides.

The route and the checkpoints! We publish our routes in advance, and we take you to some of the coolest places for checkpoints. The 2024 event featured Motion Raceworks, Field of Dreams, The Boars Nest, and the Hotrods by Havliks shop to just name a couple.

FRDM+ LIVE STREAM! For those of you that watched it in 2024, the Freedom-Plus (FRDM+) live stream takes live streams to the next level! Not only live action and replays of the best action, but the crew gets out to checkpoints and on the route for live streams of the route, something no other stream service did before 2024. Plus, we bring you the details from the pits, the staging lanes, and camera angles and even drone footage no one else brings!

New rides! Every year we get a ton of new participants and rides, and we’ll report more on that once registration opens! You’ll see everything from 6-second drag radial and big tire cars, to tons of cool cruisers in the Summit Racing Equipment Sick Ward Presented by PEAK Performance!

Now, for the important stuff on registration:

If you were a Top 100 competitor for either averages, or single runs, from the 2024 edition of Sick Summer, you should have an e-mail to grant you early entry through Friday, November 1st. IF YOU HAVEN’T FOUND THE E-MAIL, PLEASE CHECK YOUR SPAM AND JUNK MAIL FOLDERS! NOTE: all early entries must be completed by Friday, November 1st.

On Saturday, November 2nd, we will open up entries at 9 am Eastern for those competitors on the expression of interest list, as well as Sick Ward participants. If we have any competitor entries remaining at 10 am Eastern, general registration will start at that time (10 am Eastern).

As many of you will know, we've always sold out on the 9 am expression of interest stage before the open stage, so it's critical you get onto the expression of interest list here: https://www.sickthemagazine.com/sick-summer
