Race Your Way into Sick Week and Win $2000 At Cadillac Attack Event at Orlando Speed World Dragway January 27th 2024

With parts availability still an issue, plus off-season upgrades for existing entries and dozens of new rides, there are a lot of participants that can roll into the first drag-and-drive event of the season, Sick Week Presented by Gear Vendors Overdrive, untested and a question mark about how things will go.

But thanks to the combined efforts of Sick the Magazine and Cadillac Attack, competitors can test before the 2024 Sick Week event, but also win big money and one of two spots to enter Sick Week!

Sick Week sells out in a matter of minutes every year, including in the 2024 event. It’s a common thing to see competitors roll into drag-and-drive events untested.

Tom Bailey and Cadillac Attack event promotor Jim Harvest saw the benefit of opening up a test class, as well as the Sick Shootout on Saturday January 27th, to give competitors a chance to dial in their combinations, race their way to the final round for the chance to make some money, and earn a coveted spot into Sick Week.

And it all takes place at Orlando Speed World Dragway (OSW), the starting and ending track on Sick Week this year!

Here’s the details:

  • Private testing is available to any car and driver on Thursday January 25th, giving both Cadillac Attack and Sick Week enthusiasts a chance to test without a full event ticket commit.

  • Cadillac Attack will feature four class qualifying sessions for Sick Shootout competitors over Friday and Saturday, January 26th and 27th, providing a good number of runs to get drivers and vehicles dialed in. You don’t have to own a General Motors vehicle, as the Sick Shootout welcomes all vehicles!

  • The top 32 qualifiers in the Sick Shootout will go into a 5-round elimination class, where the winner collects a $2000 payout and runner-up getting $500. AND, the two finalists will get an entry into Sick Week if they are not already entered. If the finalists are in Sick Week, we will extend the entries to the semifinal finishers.

All this at OSW, so competitors can take advantage of Orlando’s great weather and the track’s killer surface.
