1 Way Diesel Performance in Texas is responsible for the build, and the build is covered in a 2-part episode of Texas Metal on the MotorTrend channel (streaming on their YouTube as well).
“These guys are known to do the ‘why’ builds,” said Daniel Green, who got us the particulars on the build that began just before Thanksgiving last year.

The Lamborghini is a shop vehicle, and didn’t just get a standard diesel swap. 1 Way Diesel Performance upgraded the connecting rods, camshaft, main studs and head studs, then added a ported cylinder head with upgraded springs. Bigger injectors keep the diesel in ample supply, and over 1000 horsepower and torque is connected to the 6-speed Lamborghini manual transmission!!
The entire build took about three months to complete, and the car will get its first outing in a couple weeks. Asked what it might be used for, Daniel said “a fun shop car; maybe run it down the drag strip from time to time.”
