What’s the Most Creative Way to Cheat? John Sears Answers That in Five Questions With Someone Famous-ish

Continuing in their newest video series – “Five Questions With Someone Famous-ish” – Motion Raceworks recently interviewed John Sears.

Sears, a small tire racer in his own right, now oversees the rule balance of the X275 class, as well as the Ultra / Ultimate Street class and the Ultimate 235 class.

Part of the Sick Week Tech Team, John Sears (3rd from left) joined (left to right) Lonnie Grim, Vinny Laudicina and Rick Dodge.

Sears also started the Radial Tire Racing Association, and is a staple for tech duties at a lot of big races, including Sick Week, the Lights Out event at South Georgia Motorsports Park, and the World Series of Pro Mod at Bradenton Motorsports Park.

In this interview with Doug Cook, Sears talks about how the popular X275 small tire radial class got its start, the delicate balancing of rules, and what’s the most creative way someone has cheated.
