Edelbrock Sick 66 Competitor Spots Are Sold Out – Racer Wait List, Sick Ward and Individual Day Ticket Options Available

Sick 66 marks the first time since 2005 as a major drag-and-drive event to start and end at different locations. The first year of Hot Rod Drag Week debuted in Missouri and ended in Michigan, making for a little more of an adventure than just the five days of the event.

Now, Sick 66 has renewed a few of those features, and competitor spots for the event have officially sold out.

6 Race Tracks, 50 Attractions, the Ultimate Road Trip on the Ultimate Highway! The Edelbrock Sick 66 event - October 10th-18th 2024! Click here for more details!

Combining an eight day drag-and-drive across multiple states, visiting six different drag strips, and more than a couple dozen cool checkpoints are just some of the reasons Sick 66 will be an epic experience.

“We’re all about the adventure that a drag-and-drive provides,” said Tom Bailey. “Similar to 2023’s Death Week event, Sick 66 will focus on all the cool factors we can get into eight great days.”

Tom isn’t alone in that thought process, as the first winner of Hot Rod Drag Week, Carl Scott, as well as noted HEMI enthusiast and Steve Atwell will do their first drag-and-drive events in a while.

“Both of them will be participating, and they mentioned how the appeal and features of Sick 66 were just what they needed to jump back into the drag-and-drive world.”

If you didn’t get registered for the event, there are still options you can take.

-        You can get on the waitlist to be a competitor for Sick 66 by clicking here: We traditionally see registered competitors drop off as the event gets closer, and as soon as a spot opens up, we offer it to a waitlist entry.

-        You can also participate as part of Sick Ward by registering here: Sick Ward takes all the cool points of a local cruise, and ratches them up to level ten! Sick Ward participants get admission to all race track days at a discount over individual tickets, plus a windshield banner and t-shirt!

We’re doing the ultimate drag-and-drive / road trip on one of the most popular highways in America: Route 66. It all starts October 10th at Ozark Raceway Park in Missouri, and we’ll wrap it up eight days later at Albuquerque Dragway in New Mexico on October 18th.
