Announcing Sick E-Week Presented By Motion Raceworks, The World’s First All-Electric Drag-And-Drive Event

The latest event from Sick The Mag has been announced, with Sick E-Week Presented By Motion Raceworks to become the first all-electric drag-and-drive event in the world.

As the electrification of the car industry grows, Sick The Mag has decided to move with the times and create an event that will set off a ‘buzz’ within the sport.

Getting behind this revolutionary event will be Motion Raceworks. Sick E-Week will take competitors from Motion’s Iowa HQ all the way to their new facility in Florida next year, with special routes that go via charging stations and checkpoints that include the east coast’s largest solar farm.

“I know I’ve been somewhat anti-electric cars in the past, but when Tom Bailey presented me with his ‘high voltage’ idea I would have to be a fool not to go for it,” said Motion CEO Doug Cook. “We’re going to ‘charge up’ the electric scene by converting El Toro to be electric-powered, with a full Tesla drivetrain being put in place.”

Sick The Mag publisher Tom Bailey said the number of Teslas and other electric vehicles ‘bolting’ down drag strips could not be ignored. Tracks will be announced soon, with a high amount of interest in hosting the first Sick E-Week.

Expressions of interest are now being taken so make sure you don’t miss the chance to make electric history!
