There are very few barriers left to be broken in drag-and-drive competition. But thanks to Drag-And-Drive Addiction and Summit Racing, big news in the world of drag-and-drive racing was revealed last night, as a World Champion drag-and-drive racer will be crowned in 2023.

“It’s a points series, and we’re releasing the points very very soon,” Michael Narx of Drag-And-Drive Addition stated in the live stream that debuted on Wednesday March 22nd. “We got about 95-percent of them (points) put together.”

Points will be calculated from national-level events only, meaning at least four days of scheduled racing, plus a minimum of 625 road miles. It will be limited it to a participant’s top three events.

“We are fine tuning the points system with racers and promoters,” said Narx. They expect to have the final details and system wrapped up by the next national-level event.

“This is a huge win for the community,” I think it will bring a bunch of new eyes to the sport.”

More details will be reported as we receive them.
