5 Reasons Why Sick Ward Is The Ultimate Road Trip

There are a lot of reasons to take your car or truck out for a cruise. The feeling of the open road, the cool spots you can see along the drive, and you might even see some cool rides you like out enjoying a drive as well.

Sick Ward takes all the cool points of a local cruise, and ratches them up to level ten! We’re less than two months away from the start of Sick Week at Orlando Speed World Dragway in 2023; here’s some reasons you should make plans to attend as part of Sick Ward.

  1. A road trip packed full of cool rides! You’ll enjoy cruising with lots of cool street machines and hot rods on Sick Ward, plus seeing the cars and trucks in the competition on Sick Week. What better way to log the miles?

  2. Cool check points and routes! Our 2022 route included a beach stop along the east coast of Florida, as well as visiting the Don Garlits Museum of Drag Racing. We will be incorporating lots of cool ideas like that into our 2023 plans, and plan to keep the drive mileage between tracks reasonable, so you’ll have plenty of time to hang out and meet each other.

  3. Visit some historic race tracks! Orlando Speed World Dragway kicks off Sick Week, and Bradenton Motorsports Park, South Georgia Motorsports Park and Gainesville Raceway complete a list of all-star locations. These tracks all have deep racing history, from small-tire racing to street car-type competition, and they will deliver some intense racing for the fans to witness!

  4. Parking just for Sick Ward! No worrying about having to walk a mile to the grandstands to watch the racing, or being stuck in a sea of boring commuter cars. You get special parking next to fellow enthusiasts that are logging the miles with you.

  5. VIP Treatment at the track! Sick Ward participants get treated to refreshments, catered meals at select locations, special merchandise, and more stuff in the works!
