2024 Chevrolet Camaro Will Be the Last of the Sixth-Generation Line-Up, Future Uncertain
Following the Monday night news of the final special edition Challenger debut, Chevrolet’s Pressroom confirmed today the last model year of the current generation of Camaro will be the 2024 model.
The final Camaro will roll off the GM Michigan plant sometime in January 2024, leaving the future of the popular Chevrolet model that first debuted as a 19567 model, uncertain.
Debuting as a 2016 model, the sixth-generation of Camaro has sold 316,193 cars in the United States since 2016.
But sales have declined almost every year since 2016, starting at a high mark of 72,705 units sold in 2016 to just 21,893 sold in 2021.

The departure of the Camaro, as well as the Challenger and Charger, would leave the Ford Mustang as the last-remaining American pony / muscle car. As we reported yesterday, the current S550-chassis Mustang, which debuted in 2015, will step aside for the new S650 Mustang to take its place later this year.
