Rock Falls Block Party Brings Horsepower Downtown on Monday, June 10
Motion Raceworks Sick Summer is going to shake up Rock Falls on Monday, June 10, 2024 with the Rock Falls Block Party, which is set to include live music, burnouts and specials from local businesses.
After racing at Byron Dragway on day one, the town of Rock Falls will play host to over 350 racers and a further 200 Sick Ward cruisers who will display their cars downtown. Many will stay in town overnight, contributing a large number of hotel nights and spending for the town’s economy.
Rock Falls Tourism has been working with Sick The Magazine and Rock Falls Police in order to accommodate all these cars, as well as a fully legal ‘burnout area’ (strictly reserved for Sick Summer entrants only).
Rock Falls has provided the following map to guide visitors. Follow the directions of the volunteers on the day to ensure you get to the correct area.
Music will be played from 5pm to 8pm at two locations. DJ Krazy Karl will be at the Farmer’s Market Pavilion (403 W. 2nd St.) and Just 4 Fun Band will be at the Bowman Park Pavilion (145 W. 1st St.). Brito’s food truck will be on the corner of West 2nd Street and 4th Ave and T&D BBQ will be across the road from the RB&W District. They will serve from 3pm until approximately 9pm.
You can watch the Sick Summer entrants have some burnout fun at the parking lot across from the RB&W District off of Avenue A. This will begin at 5pm.
