Grab Your Tickets to the Greatest Street Car Event in History!

Sick Week Presented By Gear Vendors Overdrive is set to launch a street car spectacle like none before it, with 350 of the world’s baddest drag-and-drive machines descending on Florida from January 28-February 2, 2024.

Since its inception in 2022, Sick Week has become a must-see street legal drag racing event, challenging racers to deliver stunning performances on track, backed up by cruising the highways and back roads to prove street car cred. This is an event where spectators not only get to see world record efforts on the most storied drag strips in the nation, but can also follow the route themselves and even drive alongside their heroes on public roads! It’s a level of event interaction unmatched anywhere in motorsport.

Once again, Sick Week’s entry list is a who’s who of the automotive world. Fans will be able to witness some of their favorite hot rodders, including Florida locals Cleetus McFarland (Garrett Mitchell) in the ‘Mullet’ El Camino and his pals Jackstand Jimmy (James Taal) in the ‘Ruby’ Corvette and master fabricator Tye Braun in his Ford Ranger truck.

McFarland’s bitter rival Brett LaSala will be back in the ‘Snot Rocket 2.0’ Mustang — the quickest radial tire car in drag-and-drive. It’s a car that may even challenge former champion Stefan Gustafsson’ Swedish Corvette, which won overall honors at Sick Week 2022.

Speaking of overall honors, Steve Morris brings back the ‘Boostmaster’ wagon hoping it will be rid of the gremlins from last year’s event. While transmission problems curtailed his efforts in 2023, this year the quickest Caprice in the world is targeting low sixes and the overall crown!

The Steve Morris name is tied to Tom Bailey in drag-and-drive thanks to their many Hot Rod Drag Week wins, but this year Bailey will be steering the world’s quickest Dodge Durango with son Aydan. It’s a vehicle that has to be seen to be believed with a Pro Mod chassis and four race seats!

One of street legal drag racing’s most talented drivers and builders Alex Taylor will have her ’55 Chevy back in action, setting herself up for runs deep into the six-second zone. She will be joined by fellow automotive content creators Vice Grip Garage, PFI Speed, Boosted Boiz, Kevin Smith and Cooper Bogetti.

One entry that has everyone talking is that of Billy Hoskinson and his Street Racing Channel ’55 Chevy. ‘The Kid’ will be joined by his father Bill at Sick Week 2024 Presented By Gear Vendors Overdrive as they venture into drag-and-drive for the first time.

It’s not just the hundreds of unique racing vehicles, from vintage Americana to nine-second Teslas, that make up the Sick Week show. There’s also the Summit Racing Equipment Sick Ward Presented By PEAK Performance with 200 more street machines cruising for the week as a rolling car show. All up, that’s well over 500 incredible street cars to check out at the track or on the road.

Sick Week 2024 Presented By Gear Vendors Overdrive features huge industry representation, as the biggest names in aftermarket parts and support gather to follow the route. Gear Vendors Overdrive, Motion Raceworks, Summit Racing Equipment, PEAK Performance, Driven Racing Oil, ISKY Racing Cams, Mickey Thompson, VP Racing, Pilot Transport, XS Power, Delta PAG, Dodge, Edelbrock, Precision Turbo, RaceQuip, TBM Brakes and Holley NOS will all be a part of America’s biggest street car party, with trade stands and on-road support.

Every moment of action will be worth remembering, and capturing those moments will be a huge selection of media outlets. 1320 Video, Drag Illustrated, Street Racing Channel, Hot Rod Magazine, Dragzine and more will be on site covering the power and the glory of Sick Week 2024 Presented By Gear Vendors Overdrive!

Spectator tickets are now available at TheFOAT.com. Spectators are welcome to attend tech and testing on Sunday, February 28, with competition starting on Monday from 9am and running until 3pm. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday will also feature racing from 9am to 3pm, while Friday will start later at 11am and run through until dusk.

It is recommended that spectators arrive at the track early, as many of the big hitters will be some of the first to race each day. If they make a good run, they might be on the road before noon! We also welcome spectators on the route and at the checkpoints. This is where you can really feel the spirit of drag-and-drive, watching 3000hp monsters cruising on public roads.

Sick Week 2024 Presented By Gear Vendors Overdrive will be an all-timer, so don’t miss the baddest street car event in the world!
