After a solid calendar of drag-and-drive events for 2023 where 30 events were held, we wondered what the 2024 landscape would hold.

With constant reports of rising costs on everything from food to fuel, would the drag-and-drive community be able to support more events for 2024?

After a solid calendar of drag-and-drive events for 2023 where 30 events were held, we wondered what the 2024 landscape would hold. With constant reports of rising costs on everything from food to fuel, would the drag-and-drive community be able to support more events for 2024?

The answer was in before spring has bloomed – more events were on the calendar for 2024, with several new ones pushing the total number to 37 events available! With a packed June just completed where nine different drag-and-drive events were completed, we catch news of two more events being added to the calendar.

The first to announce is Dragway Rush, in the Province of Ontario. It will be a 2-day event, held August 23rd and 24th and starting at Grand Bend Motorplex on Friday morning.

Participants will hand in a pair of time slips, then drive to St. Thomas Dragway to participate in their evening session on Friday. Saturday will bring the competitors back to Grand Bend Motorplex for their third and final shot at racing, and the chance to hand in a final pair of time slips.

The second event to join the schedule is a repeater from earlier in the year, as the Hardass 1000 will stage their second event of the year October 21st through the 25th in Australia.

After successfully hosting an event in March this year, they will double up with a second helping to be contested at Heathcote, Wilby Raceday and then back to Heathcote with a drive day between each track visit.

This brings the 2024 drag-and-drive season to 39 events, and we heard there could be 1-2 more in the works. Sick the Magazine website has a listing of drag-and-drive events for 2024 AVAILABLE HERE!
