Registration for Southeast Street-N-Yeet Fall Event Opens Today, New Class Added to the Roster

After the initial success of the first Southeast Street-N-Yeet in the fall of 2022, the drag-and-drive through North and South Carolina has expanded to two events for 2023. The spring event was completed three and-a-half weeks ago, and today, registration opened for the Southeast Street-N-Yeet Fall event, which will take place from Thursday, November 9th through Sunday, November 12th, 2023.

Following the successful steps of the Spring version, the Southeast Street-N-Yeet Fall event will start at Shadyside Dragway in Shelby, North Carolina. The tour will visit South Carolina Motorplex, Carolina Dragway and Darlington Dragway in South Carolina before returning back to Shadyside Dragway to wrap up day five and award the winners.

The five classes that competed at the Spring event will return for Fall, plus a new one. The classes are:

-          Unlimited Yeet (no rules)

-          Limited Yeet (275 max tire, small block with power adders, big block naturally-aspirated only)

-          Yeet Stick (clutch assisted manual transmission – except Lenco, 29.5” x 10.5W” slick or 315 radial)

-          Tiny Tire (26” x 8.5” width or 235 tire)

-          Dial Your Own Yeet (consistency based on average and time slips turned in).

The new class to the roster is Daily Driver; rules are:

-          Must use a factory-type overdrive transmission (4L80, 4R70, AOD, etc.).

-          Racing tires are required – no hard tires allowed.

-          Functioning windshield wipers and radio required.

-          Exhaust must be run to within 12 inches of the rear axle; no front or side exit or bullhorns allowed.

-          Must have a rear seat if equipped with one from the factory.

-          Methanol is not allowed.

Plans are to have awards for the top three in all classes, and there will also be shootouts among the top sixteen qualifiers in each class. The quickest eight in the Dial Your Own Yeet will also have a bracket-style shootout.
