An Epic 1300-Mile Edelbrock Sick 66 Drag-and-Drive Event Starts Tomorrow at Ozark Raceway Park in Missouri
There are some events that have that ‘different’ factor; that ‘no one has ever done it before’ hits you, and makes you want to participate. We did it last year with Death Week, a 2000-mile trip through California, Nevada and Arizona, and only a select amount of people got to experience that unique trip we will not repeat.
Tomorrow, we start another ‘one-time only’ event – Edelbrock Sick 66, which will cover over 1,300 miles, visit more than 30 checkpoints, and witness racing action at six different tracks!
A once in-a-lifetime drag-and-drive: Edelbrock Sick 66, starts TOMORROW - October 10th 2024. It’s Route 66, over 30 checkpoints, 6 tracks, and an epic experience. Don’t miss your chance - CLICK HERE for general information, Sick Ward and discounted spectator tickets!!
The adventure begins at Ozark Raceway Park tomorrow, October 10th, one of two tracks we will visit in Missouri. Tomorrow will include tech-in and an afternoon of test runs. This will be the highest car count of the week, as everyone will start their Route 66 journey at Ozark Raceway Park.
There are a ton of fierce competitors, including Death Week champion Jason Rousseau and his 5-second Malibu, Richard Guido’s stick shift Pontiac GTO, Rick Steinke’s 4-door sleeper Chevelle, and burnout king Rajveer Ahuja’s Oldsmobile Cutlass.
We will also see Bryant Goldstone, Tom McGilton, and the first ‘Spirit of Drag Week’ winner, Steve Atwell.
In addition to three hundred competitors, we will also be joined by dozens of enthusiasts in the Summit Racing Equipment Sick Ward Presented by PEAK Performance, ready to navigate one of the original highways to be used in the US Numbered Highway System, established on November 11th, 1926.
We will also have several manufacturers along for the ride, including title sponsor Edelbrock, Driven Racing Oil, Mickey Thompson Tires, and a cool slew of Dodge vehicles to name a few.
Sick the Magazine will also have our merchandise trailer on site, with a bunch of Sick 66 limited edition merchandise in stock. The desired Sick straw hats, which we only sell on site at events, will also be on hand.
